Every year, students at Elmbank Junior Middle Academy work closely with our Steel Band instructor to recreate and perform some well known songs. In colloboration with the instructor, Mr. Clarke, student teacher Mr. Stevens graciously donated his time to come in and record our Elmbank students playing their hearts out.
All the music can be heard here:

Elmbank's cricket team faces a new challenge and their old coach!
Yesterday Elmbank Thunder cricket team participated in Kipling CI Indoor tournament for the second year. They took on the Dixongrove Dragons, Islington Panthers, Smithfield and Mr Persaud's new team Bedford Bears. With losses to the other teams the only game that mattered was the battle against Mr Persaud's Bears.
Mr Persaud was interviewed following his team's loss to Elmbank.
"I was really impressed with Elmbank's team spirit, and it was good to see some of the old team participating again. Elmbank's excellent bowling and defense held my team to only 2 runs. It was an easy win for the Thunder over the Bedford Bears after the excellent bowling by Malhar and Malay, but well deserved. Elmbank definitely brought their best game to make a point. Coach Mr Sood and photographer Ms H should be thanked by the team for their hard work."
When asked about a rematch Mr Persaud replied "we'll see...even though I only have a Grade 7 team...Elmbank better work hard before they invite us to another match. My outdoor team is still training and we'll be ready for another clash between the Bedford Bears and Elmbank Thunder. This rivalry is only just beginning!"
